There was definitely no lack of outdoor tables available in Brighton this morning (April 12) as outdoor hospitality was allowed to return.
Rain and snow was not the ideal start to the day for outdoor eating and drinking but a few brave people could still be seen in the city trying to make the most of being able to sit down with their morning coffee.
As we approached lunch-time, though, the sun began to shine and customers started to head to the restaurants and pubs with outdoor spaces. It was great to see friends, families and couples smiling in the sunshine while supporting local businesses.
So many restaurants and cafés have added outdoor seating for customers, many with heaters and shelter. Coppa Club, in Brighton Square, can seat more than 80 people outside and has two igloos, which seat up to six people. There is also a new seating area in Prince Albert Street for those dining at restaurants including Pizza Express, Food for Friends and XOXO. And Duke Street has plenty of outside tables for customers of the many restaurants and cafés that line the street, including Honest Burgers.
