Sally Challis-Manning was presented with an MBE by Her Royal Highness Princess Anne on Wednesday, February 2, at Windsor Castle, after she was included in the New Year’s Honours in 2020.
Sally, who lives in Horsham, was honoured for Services to Further Education.

Hide AdShe said she exchanged a few words with the Princess Royal about Brinsbury College and its important role in providing vital land-based qualifications to young people in West Sussex.
Sally said: “It was an incredibly special day and one I shall never forget.
“It was so humbling to be receiving my MBE alongside people who have done so much for so many people. It really was an honour and a privilege to be there with them.
“The Princess Royal was interested in my own background in education and spoke briefly about our college mergers and the specialist role of our land-based college Brinsbury

Sally has worked for Chichester College (now the Chichester College Group) for more than 33 years, becoming an expert in quality teaching and learning.
