Street market success
The event confirmed we need plenty of visitors to help our town centre traders. Local B&Bs, restaurants and cafes also benefit as many French and out-of-town market traders eat and stay here.
Several stallholders were existing town centre businesses, who benefit by promoting themselves at the market.

Hide AdWe have listened to requests from shoppers and town traders, and next year hope to provide a market in Devonshire Road on May 19/ 20 in addition to the usual September market.
This market is entirely self-funding and only takes place because of the goodwill of so many people and organisations.
Thanks to Bexhill 100 Motoring Club for providing such good, experienced marshals, and to C-Side Cafe and Trattoria Italiana for refreshments.
Thanks to Rother District Council and Verdant for the street cleaning and Bexhill Chamber of Commerce members who helped clear away.

Thanks to Stagecoach for temporary notices on the bus stops and providing a temporary bus stop on Marina - it was really helpful for passengers.
Thanks to the Devonshire Road shopkeeper who came over to say how busy his shop had been all weekend – this pleased reaction from a retailer is what the market is all about.
Thanksto traders and residents of Devonshire Road for parking their vehicles elsewhere and for putting up with any disruption.
