Solicitors put their best foot forward for charity
Whilst Solicitors pride themselves on professionalism, RG have proven that just because you’re dressed for business, it doesn’t mean your feet can’t be dressed for fun. Their staff wore stiletto heels, novelty slippers, funky trainers and even flippers to their offices on West Street!
The week long incentive was to raise money for Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice in Surrey, which recently provided care for a colleague’s nephew. Chestnut Tree House offers specialist palliative care to children and young adults with progressive life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses.

he said: “We are delighted and so grateful for the fantastic support from RG Solicitors, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved. Chestnut Tree House currently cares for nearly 300 children and their families with life limiting, life-threatening conditions and receives very little government funding. It means that we need to raise nearly £3 million pounds a year to help provide all the services we provide”.
Whilst all staff made an outstanding effort, Colin Secomb was selected as the winner and received a bottle of wine and a decorative shoehorn as a reward for his efforts.
Caroline Cheary, Senior Lawyer at RG Solicitors was the driving force behind the crazy shoe idea. She spoke about the recent incentive: “Despite the stereotypes to the contrary, Solicitors can be fun. I love shoes myself and thought that having our staff wear weird and wacky footwear into the office for a week was not only something a bit different for them but it also meant that we could raise money and awareness of a truly worthwhile cause. The work being done at Chestnut Tree House is incredible and we’re proud to be able to support them.”
