Pupils enjoy life as a Roman
This was a fun finale to celebrate the end of this term’s topic and the children took part in a variety of different activities, including cooking different Ancient Roman dishes, creating their own mosaic photograph frame, designing and making a Roman coin and a team quiz to see who was a Roman expert!
At lunchtime, the teachers became the servants and the children enjoyed sampling their culinary efforts at a Roman feast, dining outside in their very own triclinium.

A great day was had by all and in the words of Alice White (Year 4) “It was a great opportunity to experience Roman life in a fun way and I’m glad my teacher decided to be our slave for the day!” and Doug Ludlow-Monk (Year 4) “I really enjoyed the day and all my friends made a big effort to wear fantastic costumes.” Fry Class all say “Romans Rule!”
