Nice café food for an avid bench anorak
I don't know who the architect was but he or she could certainly give Thomas Heatherington and Asif Khan a run for their money when it comes to designing a really nice caf building with panoramic views across both the river and the open countryside.
I think next time I go I will pick a fine day and try out the sheltered outside area.

Hide AdI wouldn't call the Boathouse groundbreaking or iconic; rather more sort of sensible, comfortable and easy on the eye.
Oh, yes, and the food is really nice, too; sensible, tasty and easy on the wallet.
Anyway, must dash.
It has the longest bench in the world '“ so far.
It is 460m long '“ Wow! Imagine that!
Can't wait to see it and spend loads of yen in their local shops.
