Totally unknown to his fellow Liberal Democrat county councillors, Dr James Walsh was presented, by the current chairman of the county council Mrs Pat Arculus, an award for long service – 30 years of long service to be correct.
I would like to congratulate councillor Dr Walsh on behalf of all the local Liberal Democrat councillors and local Liberal Democrat members for his continued leadership at West Sussex County Council, Littlehampton Town Council and of his continued support at Arun District Council.

Hide AdCouncillor Dr Walsh has been an upstanding local figure around Littlehampton now for many years and is an inspiration to all of the local Liberal Democrats by always being there for help and advice when we have needed it.
Not only has Dr Walsh been there to help his fellow councillors but also to help, support and stand by the people of Littlehampton.
I wish councillor Dr Walsh all the best for the future and believe his award was justifiably deserved.
Councillor Ian Buckland
