As HDCF input will be appropriate and desirable for all major - and even less than major - developments across the district, I think this omission unfortunate.
A local example I can think of is the Millford Grange development adjacent to the A283 between Storrington and the Washington roundabout on the A24 - this is a 78 home settlement due for completion next summer.

Hide AdAs things appear at this moment, the occupants of these new homes will find inadequate / poor pavements to use if they wish to walk into Storrington or to Washington and no consideration for safe cycling to access these local villages.
So the car it is - increasing air pollution and road congestion.
HDCF’s advice at the planning stage could provide much needed wisdom.
