Different opinions make a democracy
PERHAPS R. E. Barker (Gazette letters, July 23) will read the comments of the other people on the same page as his/her letter and wish he/she had modulated his/her remarks in print.
I have no opinion on the subject of the seafront bench, but we continually read that we live in a democracy, so if we do, the comments of everyone on this subject are relevant, and I for one do not regard opinions different to my own as ill-mannered and ungrateful.
