Choir hits high notes
Ali Littleboy, one of the organisers, explained that a notice went out last year for anyone interested in learning to sing or in the early stages of learning an instrument to form a group.
Twelve months later ‘Rejoice’ comprises a group of 27 enthusiastic amateurs made up of singers and an eclectic group of instrumentalists including strings, plus a double bass, woodwind, brass and even the Irish bagpipes!

Tony Hancock, the conductor and accompanist, said: “It is a wonderful forum for those who are learning to sing or play an instrument and at the same time enjoy fun and fellowship.”
The concert was free but donations were made to 4Sight, the West Sussex charity for blind and partially-sighted people.
More than £1,000 was raised for this very worthy cause. More details of 4Sight’s work can be found at www.4sightsussex.co.uk
