Burgess Hill school celebrate’s life of teacher Rebecca Pearson
The celebration, including a release of red balloons, was on February 7, the national fund-raising day “Ramp up the Red” in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
The college students were able to wear non-uniform but were asked to wear as much red clothing as possible or something linked to the red theme of the day.

The college also had a number of events going on throughout the day to raise money for the same causes.
They included a staff versus students rowing relay event with guesses as to the total distance rowed being sold for 50p each.
The staff managed to row 55,600 metres, described by the college itself as “quite an achievement!”
The day concluded with an assembly in the Barnden Hall and afterwards the release of 99 red balloons in Rebecca’s memory.
