Artificial Arun

We then became Arun, under Ted Heath’s reorganisation – a purely artificial invention, as a river is a boundary, not a central point.

Hide AdI have heard it said that people who live west of the river think more money is spent east of the river and vice versa.
My own personal gripe was the permission given to demolish three lovely houses in Woodlands Avenue, Rustington, to be replaced by a block of 24 flats, which two years later, still stand empty.
So, let us have a debate. Do we need Arun? Who does it serve?
