MS ELLIOT: Busy week, bus trip out and a bulging postbag...
I’ve heard from you about places to have great coffee, fun groups to join in Sussex and even been asked out – thank you very much.
It makes me realise that there are a lot of warm and wonderful people out there – it’s just about finding them.

to live.
I also like bumping into people you know in the street here. This is slowly beginning to feel like home.
It’s been a busy week, what with World Book Day, International Women’s Day and – to top it all off – Mother’s Day.
I sent my mum some flowers but, to me, it never seems like enough.

But it’s the convention, and I know she appreciates it. Where would we be without our mums?
They are our first teachers in life and the person who brings us life, joy and love.
Being a mum myself, now, has given me a whole new appreciation of what she did for me.

It was a rainy day the other day and I was sick of being stuck at home, so I decided we should go on an out-of-town adventure and we took the bus to Steyning.
It was an absolutely delightful place!
We loved the museum and the old buildings and, of course, the friendly tea shops. They spoilt us with delicious cakes and I came back with a happy but tired little man.
It had been the right thing to do to have a change of scenery and get him running about. Being stuck indoors does nobody any good and I heartily recommend going for a walk along our lovely promenade and taking a breath of fresh air.
Breathe in deep and appreciate the little things.
