Bad drivers are in the majority
This was partly for medical reasons, but with some relief because there were far too many cars on the road and an awful lot of bad drivers.
This has become far worse and I feel the bad drivers outnumber the good ones.

Hide AdWhen I am walking along the main road and crossing the frequent junctions, cars come screaming round the corners furiously tooting their horns.
The Highway Code states clearly that the driver must give way to the pedestrian here.
It is not one of the Highway Code's common sense suggestions, it is the law.
I usually cross from the Jack Horner pub to Waitrose on most days.

Hide AdHow many cars bother to indicate that they are turning into Lyndhurst Road?
Even police cars don't bother and it is a Highway Code common-sense suggestion.
If you run someone over here without indicating, I'm pretty sure it will count against you.
The main problems seem to be that drivers regard themselves as superior to the pedestrian, which they are not.

Hide AdI have often heard it said when a car has to stop at a pelican crossing, the pedestrian should thank them.
How arrogant is that? I do thank drivers who allow me to cross when they don't have to, but they are becoming rarer.
I could go on, but it won't alter driver behaviour.
Maybe some of my fellow pedestrians will recognise what I am saying.
