Nursery raises money for local children’s charity
The Busy Bees nursery, in Poulters Lane, Worthing, raised the money for Worthing Kids and Dapper Snapper, a charity for children with additional needs.
A cheque was presented at the WKDS Friday Get Together at Maybridge Children and Family Centre in The Strand, Worthing.

Hide AdBusy Bees manager Suzie Hawker, 38, said: “All the staff feel very privileged to be able to help such a worthy cause.”
The children at the Friday Get Together were treated to a ‘song and sign’ session by former ‘Get Your Own Back’ host Dave Benson Phillips, who later agreed to become the charity’s patron.
Dave said: “I always wanted to do something for children locally.”
“I’m sure there are lots of people in the community who want to get involved.”

Hide AdDave entertains the children with his guitar, teaching them songs and basic sign language.
The WKDS charity has over 200 members and provides activities including a youth club, a summer kayaking course, a performing arts club and a swim school.
At meetings special guests offer advice for parents and educational entertainment for the children.
Events co-ordinator Lydia Wilson said: “We are extremely grateful to Busy Bees for the wonderful thing they have done for our group.
“The money will be used so we can have more guests at our get-togethers who are fun for the children and beneficial.”
