New chief executive of council appointed
Natalie Brahma-Pearl, director of Community Services at Horsham District Council, has landed the role, a council spokesman has confirmed.
Her appointment was recommended by the Appointments and Investigating Committee on March 10 and ratified at an extraordinary meeting of the full council last Wednesday (March 22).

Hide AdNatalie said: “I am thrilled and honoured to have been offered the role. I am passionate about improving public services, and this is therefore a really exciting opportunity for me to build on Crawley’s excellent reputation.
“I am very much looking forward to working with councillors, staff and partners to take the many great opportunities forward for the town.
“I am confident that, with Crawley’s first class record for service delivery, innovation and regeneration, we will collectively achieve the ambitions for the borough.”
As part of her role at Horsham District Council, Natalie leads on housing, economic growth, community and customer services.

Hide AdShe has previously worked at East Hampshire and Adur and Worthing Councils.
Councillor Peter Lamb, leader of Crawley Borough Council, said: “We’re very pleased that Natalie will be joining the council’s leadership team as Chief Executive.
“The decision to appoint her was supported unanimously by both the committee and the full council.”
Peter Browning will remain as acting chief executive until Natalie takes up her new post.
