MP renews call for flood protection
Nick Gibb has once more pressed the government to ensure those most at risk from a repeat of a disaster such as last June’s can get cover for possessions and properties.
He used a question time session last Thursday with the under-secretary of state for environment, food and rural affairs Richard Benyon to urge the insurance industry to replace the current deal for flood-hit households when it ends in June.

Mr Gibb said later: “It is vital that agreement is either renewed or a new and better agreement put in place. I will continue to press ministers.”
