Making a clean sweep of the village
A request to residents of Robertsbridge & Salehurst for help with the annual village clean up last Sunday brought over thirty enthusiastic local volunteers of all ages for the task.
With tools provided by the Parish Council and handed out by the Parish Clerk, Karen Ripley, the helpers swept through the neighbourhood clearing litter from parks and meadows, streets and twittens, ditches and lay-bys.
The organisers Cllr Sue Prochak, Cllr Anne Wells and local resident Sarah Massini were delighted with the result, especially to see so many children involved.
The photographs taken by Sarah Massini show the piles of rubbish collected around key locations in the village.
