Keane to play intimate Battle homecoming gig
It will be the first gig the band has played on home turf in nine years.
In 2004 as part of the campaign to launch their debut album ‘Hopes and Fears’, Keane played a show at Battle Memorial Halls for a selection of friends, family and competition winners.

The exclusive concert will be for friends, family and competition winners only and tickets will not be on sale to the general public.
The Battle Observer has three pairs of tickets to give away, with scores of Keane fans from Battle, Sussex and beyond entering our competition since it opened online on Monday.
The Memorial Halls gig has been in the pipeline for months, but those in the know were sworn to secrecy.

“It has been very hard to keep it top secret for months!
“We are looking forward to the concert.”
Local Keane fans had previously launched a campaign to try and persuade the group to perform at Battle Abbey.
A spokesperson for 1066 Country Marketing said: “The Keane Play Battle campaign is jumping for joy to have Keane back in Battle for an acoustic set at the Memorial Halls, a venue that they last played back in August 2004.
“The campaign hasn’t quite got what it wanted yet - the ultimate gig at Battle Abbey - but this definitely comes a close second.

“Coming back to perform at this intimate venue in their home town is a great way to thank their faithful supporters who have stuck by them since the early days and to celebrate the release of their new album ‘Best of Keane’.”
