Jamie Oliver 'devastated' as restaurant chain enters administration
Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver took to Twitter and said: "I’m devastated that our much-loved UK restaurants have gone into administration. I am deeply saddened by this outcome and would like to thank all of the people who have put their hearts and souls into this business over the years."
Among the chain's 23 restaurants is its Brighton branch on Black Lion Street, which has closed with immediate effect.
Jamie's Italian has appointed KPMG as administrators.

Hide AdA notice on the Jamie's Italian website said: "Will Wright and Mark Orton were appointed Joint Administrators of Jamie’s Italian Limited, Jamie’s Italian Holdings Limited, Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group Limited, One New Change Limited and Fifteen Restaurant Limited (together the ‘Companies’) on 21 May 2019.
"The affairs, business and property of the Companies are being managed by the Joint Administrators."
This afternoon a notice on the company's website confirmed that all but three restaurants at Gatwick Airport had closed with immediate effect.
