Hunston couple celebrate diamond wedding
The couple first met at a Hunston village dance and later married, on July 16, 1955. They still live in Selsey Road, Hunston, in the first house they bought.
Daughter Kim and grandchildren Harriet and Tom were among the 35 friends and family who gathered at Chichester Golf Club, in Hunston, to celebrate their nniversary.

Hide AdHarriet said: “I want to congratulate my grandparents, Bob and Joyce Mant, on their anniversary on behalf of all our family.
“They have been married 60 years and celebrated with family and friends at Chichester Golf Club.
“The day was amazing and everything went as planned.”
The club has played a big part in their retirement and they have enjoyed much of the time playing golf, though they recently had to give up the game for health reasons.
Mr Mant was born in Sidlesham, while Mrs Mant comes from Canada and moved to Hunston when she was six.

Hide AdHarriet said: “They first met at a village dance, where a band was playing, and shortly after meeting, Grandad joined the Navy, where he was a chief petty officer.
“Grandma made cakes for people and has an incredible passion and talent for this.
“She also stayed home with their daughter, Kim, who was their only child, while Grandad served 18-month stints away at sea.”
