HORSHAM HITS BACK AT DIRTY STREETS REPORT
Reports have said that almost a third of the district's streets were dirty with litter and debris but they have been described by council officials as 'out of date'.
The information comes from the Audit Commission's Best Value Performance Indicators for 2005/06 and originates from data supplied by the council itself 15 months ago.

Hide AdCommenting on the information, Ian Jopling, Head of Environment, Waste and Cleansing at Horsham District Council, said: "I would like to reassure everyone that this figure is only one measure of cleanliness amongst many, it is now well over a year out of date and it is certainly not a true reflection of how clean the district's 500 miles of mainly rural streets are now.
