‘Generous’ boys give gifts to charity
Students from St Andrew’s high school in Sackville Road, Broadwater, packed more than 40 boxes full of gifts as part of their gift box campaign in aid of the Worthing Churches Homeless Project charity.
Sue Stevens, the PR and fundraising manager for WCHP, said: “ St Andrew’s are loyal supporters of the charity and for the boys to think of someone else at Christmas is very important. They are ver generous with what they give us.”
Gifts included toiletries, food, coats and torches.

Hide AdSteve Mercer, headteacher, of St Andrew’s, said: “Thank you to all the boys for remembering to bring something in to school and to their parents who did the shopping.
“Our school’s mission statement commits us to contributing to the community and we are pleased to support such an effective local charity as WCHP, especially so during these difficult financial times.”
Each of the school’s tutor groups filled and decorated its boxes before a number of boys delivered them personally to the charity.
