GALLERY; Food and Folk Festival at open air museum
The Food and Folk Festival on Sunday and Monday celebrated some of the south east’s finest produce, crafts and traditions.
Talks and demonstrations were given in the Cookery Theatre, led by master of ceremonies Hilary Knight.

Hide AdOther entertainment included traditional folk music, storytelling with Ben Fairlight, dancing and rural craft demonstrations.
Children enjoyed making May Day headdresses, having a go at milking Daisy the replica cow and taking part in hands-on cookery sessions.
Jenny Rudd, marketing manager, said: “This popular annual event has run since 1989, this year attracting 5,300 visitors who enjoyed browsing and buying local produce, talks and cooking demonstrations, traditional folk music, storytelling, dancing, puppetry, rural craft demonstrations and more.
“Visitors of all ages were enthralled by storyteller and musician, Ben Fairlight, the Pelican-in-her-Piety Living History Group, Rabble Folk Theatre, Hand to Mouth Theatre, Sussex Folk Orchestra, Trads, South Downs Folk Singers and Thakeham Morris and Magog Morris groups.”
