Fundraisers go karting for charity
The teams of drivers collected about 2,500 for the Martin Finch Memorial Fund when they revved up on the starting grid.
Paul Witheyman and six instructors from PDW Driving School each joined four student learner drivers to take on seven other teams in a fast and furious go-karting endurance race.

Hide AdThe event took place at the indoor karting centre at Gosport and produced plenty of fun and thrills.
The winning team came from H and B Sensors Ltd, with Bognor Tyre and Exhaust Centre second and NYK Shipping third.
Winning learner drivers were with Rob Boyd and came fifth overall.
Other teams who took part were Goodwood Auto Repairs, Time for You!, Fildes Roofing/Eclipse Sport, Asender, Paul Brother Mechanics, KLS Driving School and Lawrence Butchers.

Hide AdThe memorial fund was started by the family of Martin Finch after he died from meningitis in December 1999 at the age of 14.
Its aims are to help raise awareness about meningitis, to raise funds for meningitis research and promote goodwill, fun and enjoyment at the same time.
