Fun for all the family in February half term
Fishbourne Roman Palace will be hosting a series of events from Monday to Friday.
From the Roman kitchen to Roman school life, bread making, clay and costumes, visitors will be able to taste Roman food, make an oil lamp, or have a go at weaving.

Hide AdCreative challenges and countryside skills will be on offer at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum in Singleton from Monday to Friday.
Hands-on fun for children of all ages includes outdoor trails, arts and crafts, located around the museum’s 40-acre downland site. Most activities are under cover and will run from 11am to 3pm.
And on February 19 and 20, the museum will be hosting an Understanding Agincourt activity weekend, including archery and short talks.
The Arundel Wetland Centre will be encouraging visitors to take part in the WWT’s Big Splash. Children compete to see who can produce the biggest splash from their puddle jump.

Hide AdSeveral National Trust locations will also be opening, including Petworth House and Park, Uppark House and Garden, Woolbeding Countryside, and Slindon Estate.
At Slindon Estate on Wednesday, you can join the team for a day of tree-filled family fun.
Plant trees at the National Trust’s woodland restoration project, take a walk on the wild side, enjoy fun craft sessions, or try exciting challenges and quiz packed trails indoors and out. Try mud pie making, kite flying, den building and tree climbing.

Join the team at Littlehampton Museum to create jewelled Anglo-Saxon brooches, inspired by the recent travels of the museum’s Anglo-Saxon Bowl Mount to the Celts: Art and Identity exhibition at the British Museum.

Hide AdThere will be four arts and crafts based sessions at the Littlehampton Museum and all are free.
The workshops, designed for children aged five to 13, are packed with crafts and activities, exploring the links between Celtic and Anglo-Saxon art.
The workshops will take place on Tuesday 2pm to 3pm; Wednesday 10am to 11am; Thursday, February 18, 3pm to 4pm; and Friday, February 19, from 11am to midday.
Dr James Walsh, chairman of the community resources committee, said: “It’s always great to see children enjyoing themselves in their local museum.
“I know that this will be a very popular event.”
