Flowers and frolics at Pett
Despite one torrential shower the show went ahead as usual and was attended by local MP Amber Rudd and the Pett Level Rescue Boat.
This year it was celebrating its 65th Blue Sapphire Anniversary with flower arrangements and children’s artwork on that theme.

Hide AdA tea tent and beer tent both did a good trade throughout the afternoon and there were traditional side-shows such as a coconut shy.
Other attractions included falconry displays, a barbecue and a fun dog show.
Sussex Brass provided traditional music for the event with the afternoon coming to a close when the Rev Richard Barron presented the winners’ with their cups and trophies. The overall winner was Gay Bailey.
