East Sussex Fire & Rescue attended a fire at the Bells Club in Phyllis Avenue yesterday afternoon (May 5). A spokesperson from the service said crews from Roedean and Newhaven attended the fire at 4.08pm. According to the service, four breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet were used to extinguish the fire, which was within the roof space of the property. The spokesperson said, “The fire was investigated and the cause was deemed accidental.”
