Expansion proposals for Littlegreen School
West Sussex County Council has proposed expansion plans for Littlegreen School in Compton – after monitoring the growing demand for more school places.
The plans would see the school grow by more than 30 pupils, 25 per cent of its current capacity.

“It is proposed to permanently expand the school and the current temporary arrangement to include provision for Key Stage 4 pupils at Chichester College,” said a spokesman for West Sussex County Council.
Recent investment at Chichester College means there is already a temporary provision for extra students.
However, the plans would allow this to continue on a permanent basis.

The consultation is a two stage process.
A public consultation takes place over four weeks of term time and then the cabinet member for children – start of life, Peter Evans, will decide whether to publish statutory notices in local newspapers. The public can then comment on the plans for four more weeks.
If he does, the statutory notices are expected to be published in March and a final decision would be taken in May.
