'Enormous' tree smashes hole in Itchenor Sailing Club roof
The willow tree, which is the subject of a tree preservation order, has fallen through the roof of the members' building.
'Really great' local services have been praised as they work to remove the tree and repair the damage today.

"The main thing is no one was hurt.
"We have got a great team of tree surgeons who arrived at 8.30 this morning and it will take them about eight hours. It's an enormous tree. Then we have got a roofer coming later to put a temporary roof up.
"Thank heavens for really great services.
"They have effectively dropped everything and come rushing to our aid. Without them we would be in a pickle with Storm Dennis coming in."
The message to club members is that the club house is secure and everything will carry on 'business as usual'.
