PRESERVATION SOCIETY: Quirky Sussex by Kevin Gordon. This quirky talk is a result of men’s travels around the county, looking for the strange and unusual. This includes people as well as places. The talk includes pyramids, dangerous ducks, saints, tub men and taxidermists. Kevin is a retired British Transport Police Officer and keen local historian. A trustee of Seaford Museum, Chairman of the Alfriston Historical Society, accredited guide of the Houses of Parliament and maybe known for his weekly items in the Sussex Express. He now writes a Sussex History Blog (www.sussexhistory.net). The event will take place in East Hoathly Village Hall Friday March 11 at 7.30pm. Admission is free to members and guests welcome at £3 admission charge.
