Cyclist airlifted to hospital after serious Witterings crash
The B2179 was reportedly blocked eastbound with slow moving traffic in the area after the accident at the junction with Cakeham Road and Jolliffe Road just before midday.
At 1.15pm, Sussex Police confirmed that the road had reopened but disruption is expected to continue in the East and West Wittering areas.

Hide AdA spokesperson said: “The cyclist has sustained serious injuries and has been airlifted to hospital. The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
“People planning on travelling to West Wittering beach are advised to delay their journey due to the knock-on effect on the road network.”
