Horsham man charged with racially aggravated assault
A man is to appear in court charged with racially aggravated common assault in Horsham, say Sussex Police.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Denne Road at around 2.15am on Saturday (May 17) to a report that a man had assaulted a woman and racially abused her following a disagreement. The man also resisted police officers during the arrest.
“Benjamin Lucas, 23, of Denne Road, Horsham has been charged with racially aggravated common assault and resisting a police officer in the lawful execution of his duty.
“He was released on bail to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday May 28.”
