Eastbourne incident: Man arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill
and live on Freeview channel 276
Armed police, ambulance crews and HART emergency vehicles scrambled to an address at Hobart Quay, Sovereign Harbour North, at 9.30am, after concerns had been reported about the welfare of a man there.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “There was nobody else at the address which was safely contained to prevent any danger to the public while officers worked to establish the circumstances and resolve the incident without any risk to anyone.

Hide Ad“Contact was made by the man with police negotiators. He came out of the address at 1.30pm and was arrested without incident. There was no violence and no injury and the address is being searched.
“A 61-year-old man is currently in custody for interview and further enquiries, on suspicion of making threats to kill.”
