Council to decide on home for new Waitrose and John Lewis in Horsham
Horsham District Council’s Development Control North Committee are set to debate Westrock’s plans to build two new retail outlets on the site of Horsham Bowling Club in the Bishopric.
If approved Waitrose would relocate from its current premises in Piries Place, while John Lewis is expected to take the other space for an ‘At Home’ store.

Hide AdWestrock’s £35m scheme to redevelop the ‘West End’ of Horsham includes replacing part of the Lifestyle Ford site with residential housing, and redeveloping Bishops Weald House on the other side of Albion Way. These fall under separate planning applications to the one being decided tonight.
While the scheme has broad support of respondents, with 56 letters of support, but only three raising concerns, both the Horsham Society and Denne Neighbourhood Council has objected to the application.
Lifestyle Ford is moving to Farthings Hill roundabout in Broadbridge Heath, while Horsham Bowling Club is relocating to Holbrook Tythe Barn.
