Company chosen to build Lancing skatepark
Lancing parish councillors looked over bids from three businesses at a meeting on Wednesday night before selecting one to take forward.
Meeting at Lancing Parish Hall in South Street, councillors chose skatepark construction specialists Wheelscape, who also built Homefield Park in Park Road, Worthing.
The skatepark will be located in Lancing Beach Green.

Mr Patmore said he met with some of the user group who are involved with the project and heard that the Wheelscape-built skatepark in Worthing has a good reputation.
The project is being overseen by a user group made up of young people who helped start the campaign, two adult professional skateboarders and other interested parties.
While councillors did vote to approve Wheelscape’s bid, subject to the company satisfying the necessary planning criteria, concerns were raised over the lack of seating and bins in the preliminary designs submitted to the council.

The skatepark is being funded by Adur and Worthing councils following a decision in April this year.
