Community figure to up-sticks for Margate
Dan, 38, of Tower Road, has been a key person in the bid to save the Dome, the Pier’s 150th anniversary celebrations and the town’s arts scene, among other projects.
But later this month, he will leave to pastures new in Margate.

Hide AdHe said: “I have been in sunny Worthing all my life, so maybe it’s time to try something different.
“The Thompsons have been in Worthing for a couple of hundred years, so I imagine I’ll be back at some point.
“I just fancy a change of scenery, and Margate’s really nice.”
Part of Dan’s decision lies in the price of buying a house in the town, which he said was much more expensive than Margate.

Hide AdHe said: “Worthing is a tough place for property at the moment, and is really expensive, whereas Margate is cheaper.
“As a town, it’s not too dissimilar to Worthing.”
