Collyer's students learn the physics of light and colour
Professor Vukusic is a leading light on how colour is produced in many different animals, ranging from the iridescence of a blue butterfly to the camouflage of an octopus. Many of these examples are biological applications of Physics and students were shown the relevance of the theory studied in the classroom to the natural world.
Joe Brock (Head of Faculty for Mathematics and Science at Collyer’s) said: “Huge thanks to Professor Vukusic for his inspiring and technically brilliant lecture. The students absolutely loved it”
