Broadway to be converted into race-track for cycling children during Greater Haywards Heath Bike Ride
While making sure a challenging ride is provided for the Bradley Wiggins impersonators, organisers have added a free Mini Bike Ride for little ones and it seems they’ve already begun practicing!
Once the main Ride has begun, the Broadway will be transformed into a safe cycling track for Under Four’s and Over Four’s to have their very own Bike Ride track.

To make sure that everyone stays safe, Anna James and her team from Robin’s Nest Nursery are busy planning the very best zig-zags and chicanes for the older ones, while large coloured rubber markers and cones will keep the little ones happy as they zoom around the track; the Over Fours will need to bring their own cycles but there will be bikes available for all Under Fours.
And, for those with tired or creaky muscles, the exciting news is that massage therapist, Maria Humphrey, has joined the Bike Ride Team.
She will be on hand both before and after the event to help all those aches and pains in return for small donation to St. Catherine’s Hospice.

It is hoped the May 18 event will be the biggest and best event of the year and leave a legacy to help local cancer patients.
