Bognor dance studio plan rejected
The lack of soundproofing in the proposed premises at the Arun Business Park on Shripney Road was responsible for the refusal of planning permission for the venture.
Rachael Boarer wanted to change the use of an empty unit at the business park from light industry to the fitness activity.

She also said there was not enough parking to cope with the likely number of dancers.
“It is accepted the use would occupy a vacant unit with the formation of employment opportunities, but it would also give rise to increased parking demand in the area.
“In this instance, unit 9B does not have adequate parking provision within the site for the intended increase in traffic movement entering and leaving the site,” said Mrs Chapman.
A third reason for rejecting the proposal was the loss of a small unit for industrial, office and warehousing purposes.
The council received three letters of objections to the plan.
