Body on Bexhill beach confirmed as St Leonards writer Sally Brampton
It was widely reported yesterday (Wednesday) that the former Sunday Times columnist had died after being seen walking into the sea.
But police have confirmed the identity of the body found below Galley Hill was Sally.

Hide AdThe beloved author’s body was spotted around 2.30pm and pulled ashore by a member of the public.
An air ambulance landed on the beach, but she was declared dead at the scene.
Victoria Health editor Gill Sinclair said Sally was last seen walking into the sea, but there are no witnesses who have come forward to confirm this fact.
Police would like to hear from anyone who saw Sally at any time from the evening before up until the discovery of her body.
