Award for carer who beat tumor
Donna Brodrick, a senior healthcare assistant at Kardinal Healthcare in Ardsheal Road, Worthing, was rushed to hospital in 2010 with a brain tumor.
The tumor was operated on and Donna was soon keen to get back to work.

Hide Ad“Donna often goes beyond the call of duty,” said Helen Hancorn, managing director, who nominated her.
“Donna is very caring, compassionate, hardworking, trustworthy and loyal. Nothing is ever too much trouble and all the clients she visits have given excellent feedback,” she added.
Donna won the Chair’s Award at the West Sussex Care Accolades which celebrate care provision across the county.
The Chair’s Award is given to an individual who has overcome personal difficulties to attain high standards of care.

Hide Ad“The care that Donna gave my mum went way beyond the boundaries of work and a deep and genuine friendship developed,” said Pippa Moss.
“Donna was always very positive when asked about her own symptoms and was determined to carry on caring,” she added.
“Donna was unwavering in ensuring mum had the best quality of life possible in her last few years.”
The awards were held last month at the Arundel Wetland Centre in Mill Road, Arundel.
Winners had their photos taken with West Sussex County Council’s cabinet member for adult social care and health, Peter Catchpole.
