Adur councillor falls 13,000ft
David Donaldson, Adur councillor for Eastbrook, was joined by four members of his family, falling 13,000ft to raise money for three separate charities.
Mr Donaldson, of Whiterock Place, Southwick, said the sky dive on Saturday was ‘uniquely and incomparably enjoyable’.

Hide AdHe is supporting the RAF Benevolent Fund, the War Memorials Trust and the Shoreham and District Mental Health Association, based at Corner House in Southwick.

Mr Donaldson said: “I was, in my somewhat younger days, a navigator in Bomber Command. But the airforce would not let us jump in those days, so this was a first for me.”
Four other family members took part, his daughter Karen Bramwell and grandchildren Katie Bramwell, 21, and Luke Bramwell, 17, from Southwick, and his daughter’s niece, Rosie Howard, 16, from Middlesex.

Hide AdThe sky dive took place at Sibson Aerodrome in Peterborough on his granddaughter’s birthday. She is a student at Norwich University and regularly sky dives at Sibson, so she wanted to get the family involved to mark the occasion.
Mr Donaldson, said the sky dive saw them plummet through 8,000ft before opening the parachute.
