Horsham is set to fully open for business from Monday
and live on Freeview channel 276
This is the message from Horsham District Councillor Paul Clarke, cabinet member for the local economy and parking, as non-essential stores plan to reopen from next week.
He told the County Times that although essential stores have remained open throughout lockdown the district will be ‘even more open for business’ come Monday.

Hide AdMr Clarke said he hopes most or all shops will reopen to customers next week following months of closures.
He added: “A lot of work has been going on – to prepare for the reopening.”
Many businesses have adapted the way they trade during lockdown, offering delivery and click and collect to continue to serve customers.
Mr Clarke said £26.625m was handed out to 2,157 businesses during the first tranche of grant funding.

Hide AdA further £1.43m in discretionary grants is now available for businesses who ‘fell though the cracks’ along with £128,000 in a high street safety fund.
He added: “If you need support contact us and we will try and help.”
The funding is aimed at micro and small businesses and high street businesses, parish councils and partnerships are urged to apply to the high street safety fund.
Mr Clarke praised staff at the council who had worked long hours to make the system for distributing the cash work.

Hide AdHe added: “A special word of commendation or thanks needs to go to the backroom staff or the contractors who work for the council.
“Some people worked very hard and we need to thank them for that.
“I have been incredibly impressed.”
