Family man Stuart Humphrey lost both his job and part-time dance event business amid coronavirus restrictions last year, but he quickly looked to his other passions and skills for ways to support his family. His first attempt at self-employment was as a freelance photographer but when a friend asked him to build a website that quickly generated new clients and he was already offering free advice to others on how to pivot their struggling businesses, he realised that his background in digital marketing, lead generation and sales could help his local business community succeed in a turbulent market. With support from his partner Lizzi and their five children, Phoenix Marketing was up and running within weeks offering a range of digital and traditional marketing services for small to medium local businesses.
