Crawley’s Tilgate Nature Centre reopens to visitors
Crawley Borough Council’s Tilgate Nature Centre, which is home to more than 100 different species, has introduced a one-way system, hand sanitisers and an increased cleaning frequency to make the attraction safer to visit, as well as hand washing facilities at the entrance and exit.
Councillor Chris Mullins, cabinet member for wellbeing at Crawley Borough Council, said: “Tilgate Nature Centre is a wonderful attraction for all the family so I’m delighted that we are now able to reopen it safely.
“Book now. I know the animals have missed you.”

The new prices, which are valid until Wednesday, March 31 2021, are £5 for Crawley adults, £4 for Crawley children, £6 for non-Crawley adults and £5 for non-Crawley children.
All under-twos go for free.
Every ticket has to be pre-purchased on the centre’s website, www.tilgatenaturecentre.co.uk, and will be available to buy online one week in advance.
The council has said the pre-purchased tickets will mean it can limit the number of people in the Nature Centre to ensure that social distancing guidance is complied with to keep staff, visitors and animals safe.
