Hide AdThe old industrial space gallery at the Observer Building has given Redpath the opportunity to install her large sculptural pieces alongside her working drawings and paintings. Using various original materials and techniques, often incorporating objects found in her surroundings, she creates a dreamlike world that is darkly humorous. Her work captures every day experiences and observations, twisted and drawn into her fantasy world.
Finch works with a wide range of media incorporating drawing, painting and performance, with found and made objects. Always figurative the narrative of her art is based on early childhood perception and a preoccupation with the ordinary. The result is somewhat haunting and poetic. She studied Fine Art in Lancashire and Devon and now works from her studio in Hastings Old Town.
The exhibition is available for viewing from Tuesday-Sunday between 11am-5pm.
