When The Band Begins To Play
On Saturday June 20 at 8pm, she comes to Hastings’ Electric Palace Cinema with When the Band Begins to Play, her WW1 cabaret mix of humour and horror.
With her Manchester-based company GlovesOff, Patricia has toured widely at home and abroad, and now this award-winning writer and performer brings her idiosyncratic take on the Great War to Hastings, accompanied by musician Peter Dobson.

Hide AdThe show opened at Buxton Fringe last year, “highly recommended” by one reviewer, with Patricia Hartshorne’s performance “in turns comic, sad – and positively breathtaking” along with music from her “terrific accompanist Peter Dobson”.
