Students rock in school Battle of the Bands

Students from Rye College, Bexhill and Ashford released their inner Gene Simmons and Hayley Williams in front of their peers and parents.
Four expert judges gave their verdict on each act and at the end of the evening some of the artists were rewarded with musical prizes.

Hide AdTommy Lunsford won a free studio session courtesy of Entertainment Workshop and a month’s free instrumental lesson with ADAPT, guitar accessories and many more were also handed out.
Host and year-12 student David Swarbrick can’t wait for next year’s event.
“I can safely say that the night was an enjoyable one for both the performers and the family and friends who came to watch,” he said.
“A special thanks to head of music Paul Harrison for organising the evening, to the students that performed, the audience who came to support the young artists and to Entertainment Workshop for making it all happen.
“Bring on Battle of the Bands 2016!”
