DESPITE prevaricating for the past few weeks, I eventually faced the inevitable and started to write my Christmas cards.

I had even got to the stage of just shoving any cards we had received into a drawer as I felt so guilty at receiving them.

I needed an excuse for why I had not got pen to paper. So I am getting fingers to computer and drawing up names and addresses of all the lucky recipients of my smudged seasonal wishes. And to all of you out there, a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. There. That's saved me a few cards anyway.
